Hydroseeding

Hydroseeding is a widely adopted method for establishing vegetation, especially on sloped or eroded areas.

OUR GOAL

Hydroseeding for a perfect lawn

Many sites have depleted soils with low organic matter, requiring more than just fertilizer or  natural grass turf (slabs or rolls)  to establish sustainable vegetation,

Consequently, the best choice is  hydroseeding, an innovative and effective technique for sowing lawns, sports fields, slopes and other green areas.

It is therefore particularly useful in climatic or natural situations that compromise a natural grassing process.

Why choose hydroseeding?

In general, hydroseeding is the better choice because it is faster, more effective, and less likely to fail than drill seeding.

Sowing uniformity

Hydroseeding guarantees uniform distribution of seeds, fertilizer and additives. It reduces bare areas and areas of patchy growth, creating a dense and uniform turf.

Better adhesion

The mixture of seeds, water, fertilizers and mulch used in hydroseeding adheres better to the soil, reducing the risk of erosion and seed dispersion. This is one of the best solutions in areas with slopes or difficult terrain.

Sustainability

With hydroseeding it is possible to reduce the use of water and fertilizers, thanks to the greater application efficiency. Moreover, you can use native and resistant species seeds, promoting biodiversity and environmental sustainability.

How does it work?

covering a quarry by hydroseeding

Firstly, mulch, seed, fertilizer, and water are mixed in the tank of a hydromulching machine

Secondly, the mixed materials are sprayed onto the ground. Finally, the grass starts to grow.

In this way, through a single job the land is sown and fertilized. And, since the mulch fibers retain a lot of water, the seeds are consequently kept moist.

The grassing is therefore quick and effective.

Featured products

Eco Green Company offers a wide range of specific products for hydroseeding interventions. And above all, you can count on an expert who will follow you by providing personalized advice, designed according to the needs of your project.

Among the products necessary to apply this greening technique are available:

Mulch - Wood fibre

Mulching material based on thermo-sanitized and pre-mixed pine wood fibres, ready to use. This material facilitates water retention in the area of use, making it perfect for hydroseeding and hydrostolonization work. Once distributed, it quickly produces a protective mat against soil erosion, creating the essential conditions for better and uniform germination of the essences sown or stolonised for 2-3 months

Acrylic polymer glue

Acrylic Polymer is a liquid glue for hydroseeding based on a Polybutadiene Polymer. Combined with other hydroseeding products, it forms a three-dimensional web that stabilizes the mixture in a uniform and long-lasting way. It is a completely biodegradable and non-toxic product for humans, animals and plants.

Psyllium natural glue

It acts immediately after application, facilitating the formation of anti-erosive meshes with any type of mulching material with which it is mixed. The product contributes to increasing the water retention of the preparation, favoring the germination of grassland essences and the stabilization of areas subject to meteorological erosion. The glue guarantees excellent results both on normal slopes and on vertical walls.
